We’re taking our classes and workshops online!

Thanks to the generosity of Arts Council England and Merton Giving, we’re delighted to be able to run our workshops online during this challenging time.

Classes are free, but you’ll need to sign up to receive our weekly Zoom invites to take part.

 

Staying in for a Song

Day: Every Wednesday

Time: 2:00 – 3:00pm

Our weekly singing group, Going for a Song, are staying in to sing instead.

Led by our skilled Musical Director, Christopher Killerby, each session begins with time for chatting and checking in, before starting with a warm-up, followed by learning new songs and familiar favourites.

Singing has proven health benefits which can help with anxiety and depression, lung capacity, memory and heart health. Join us to find out why people often come away feeling happier and healthier, with a song in the head and a spring in their step!

Dancing Group

Day: Every Wednesday

Time: 11:30 – 12:30pm

Join our weekly dancing group online to feel active and energised from the safety of your own home.

Led by a professional dance artist, these friendly group classes are an exciting and creative alternative to exercise. Sessions are open to everyone who enjoys music, moving, and having fun.

Each class begins with a physical warm-up before learning new choreography which you’ll master as the weeks go by. Through trying different dance styles to a range of music, you’ll build flexibility, stamina and strength without even noticing!

Leap! Online – Summer Creative Arts Camp

Dates: Summer holidays – exact dates & times below

This year, we’ll be running our Leap! summer holiday workshops online, offering creative opportunities for the young people of Merton to be inventive, make friends, have fun, and learn about theatre and filmmaking from home.

Workshops will take place on Zoom on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 10am – 12midday. Creative challenges will then be shared via a private Instagram group for everyone to share, like, and enjoy!

Camp 1: begins Mon 27th July, ends Fri 7th August*
Camp 2: begins Mon 10th August, ends Fri 21st August*

**We are running 2 camps. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please only sign up for one camp to allow as many people as possible to take part.
