From 2012 – 2016 Attic presented an annual festival of new writing, Playfest, offering local writers the chance to see their short plays staged as rehearsed readings with professional actors and directors.

In 2014 we opened this up to all new writers and received subissions from as local as Tooting and as far away as San Fransisco.

Our 2016 world premiere of Beacons originated as a short play at the very first Playfest in 2012 and has been developed into a full length play with support from Attic.
