LIE IN IT by Emma Louise Howell is a powerful new show exploring how unstable housing impacts our identities, communities, and families. Focused on the experiences of Generation Renters, the show explores the impact of continually moving our lives.
We are currently in the Research and Development (R&D) phase of this piece, collaborating directly with people who have lived experience of housing insecurity across the UK, including Lincoln, York, and London, all areas facing severe rental crises.
Employing our community dramaturgy model, Emma and Attic’s Artistic Director, Tom Bellerby, are working closely with these communities. Together, they are pulling out threads of common experience and real-life stories of housing insecurity and weaving them into a narrative that will form the script for a future full production.
