Staff

Tom Bellerby

Artistic Director

Tom is a multi-award nominated director who has worked across the world. His productions include Helen by Maureen Lennon (Theatre 503), Little Manfred by Michael Morpurgo (Polka Theatre), Freedom by Roy Williams (Yard Theatre), Our Mutual Friend adapted by Bryony Lavery (Hull Truck Theatre), Face Me (Pilot Theatre), Who Cares? by Connor Hunt (JAM) and Beulah by Alexander Wright (Arts Theatre London). He was the Associate Director on the National Theatre’s production of Under Milk Wood and the multi award winning production of Sweat on the West End. He regularly teaches and directs at drama schools across the UK including RWCMD, Arts Ed, RCSSD and Leeds Conservatoire.

He has been Resident Director at the Donmar Warehouse, Associate Artist at Pilot Theatre and was the Associate Director at Hull Truck Theatre, a key member of the team who delivered the theatre’s programme for the 2017 UK City of Culture. He was a finalist for the RTST Peter Hall Directors Award 2021. Tom is currently Co-Chair at Pilot Theatre. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Victoria Hibbs

Executive Director and CEO

Victoria trained as a stage manager at Bretton Hall College in Yorkshire. She then spent 12 years working nationally in a variety of stage management roles ranging from small scale touring companies, No. 1 commercial UK tours, International circus acts (De La Guarda at the Roundhouse, Camden and the Rio, Las Vegas) and large scale events such as the Millennium Dome and the Manchester Commonwealth Games in 2002. She was awarded Stage Manager of the Year award in 2003.

Victoria joined Attic as a stage manager in 2002, then diversified into producing, administration and finance and has been in charge of Attic’s finance and administration for well over a decade, as General Manager and CEO since 2014 and more recently as Executive Director.

She is also the Chief Operating Officer for Achates Philanthropy Ltd, a leading creative consultancy providing strategic, recruitment and fundraising support across the cultural sector.

Emily LaPlante

Creative Engagement Producer

Emily received their Masters in Applied Theatre from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she then worked as Short Courses Administrator before joining Attic in September 2023. She has a background in facilitation, having worked with organisations such as Positively UK, The Hive, Haringey Shed and more. Emily is an applied theatre practitioner who has a passion for community engagement and enjoys working with children, young people, vulnerable adults, and people with disabilities.

Chair

Paul is a General Manager with over 15 years experience in leading businesses (both domestic and global) in the media audience measurement industry.

Trustee

Robin is a theatre director, writer and educator.
