People living with dementia and their carers are invited to come together to move, dance and share a new hobby where you’ll keep fit & have fun.
Join these fun and informal sessions led by a professional dance artist, Annie Pownall. Improve your flexibility, stamina and strength, whilst enjoying moving to different types of music, being creative and gaining confidence. This is a perfect opportunity for carers and those living with Dementia to connect in a fun and relaxing way.
With time for tea, biscuits and chat, arrive from 10:30am to catch up with others before getting moving at 11:00am – midday. The Hub welcomes a £3 contribution per person for refreshments.

Between Spring 2020 – Summer 2021, we worked in partnership with the Merton Dementia Hub to create dance videos for people living with dementia and their friends, family & carers to enjoy at home.
Clients at the Merton Dementia Hub told us what they liked about our YouTube dance films:
It is always a joy seeing Annie every week with different types of music and dance moves.
Sometimes we like to watch the same video a few times and practise the moves.
Me and my sister take part together, we really enjoy the videos and we feel fit.
Mum has severe arthritis in her hands, since mum has been doing the exercises, they have really helped ease the pain.
You can find these films on our YouTube channel. Subscribe to our Dementia Dance playlist to join in with each film and receive updates when new ones are released.
