Since our Going for a Song singing workshops began back in 2009, on a Wednesday lunchtime in Mitcham, we have shared countless wonderful moments. Some members are still with us from the very beginning—thank you!
We are thrilled to announce that in 2026, we will be continuing our community singing workshops in Mitcham, just in a slightly different format.
Following the warm reception of our recent taster sessions, we’re making some exciting changes and returning to Vestry Hall, trialling a new day and time to make singing more accessible to everyone.
We warmly invite all our members to join one of our two continuing sessions in the New Year.

Our weekly singing group, led by Musical Director Christopher Killerby, is an excellent way to exercise the vocal cords and body, while learning new songs (and remembering some old favourites), having fun and making friends.

The group is made up of people of all abilities and is open to anyone wanting to improve their voice as well as those who simply enjoy singing. The group do regular performances across the local area, but this is not a requirement.
The sessions are fully accessible. There is no audition process, we sing from lyric sheets not a musical score and the sessions are drop in.
