Workshops for EAL/ESOL students focusing on employability skills, positive wellbeing & confidence.
We provide workshops supporting vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers, and those with English as their second language, as well as wider groups of young people facing the additional challenges of finding meaningful employment.
The aim of these workshops is to support young people as they make the transition from school or Further Education to applying for jobs, training or Higher Education but can extend to newly arrived migrants in search of work. The sessions use drama to improve language skills, build confidence and support employability through focusing on public speaking, demystifying UK recruitment processes, interview skills, and pitching or advocating for yourself as a candidate. Using drama and creative skills, these sessions help participants to build confidence, think on their feet and provide a sense of agency in their own future prospects.
